A native of Great Falls, Karen Gessaman enjoys reading, gardening, cross-country skiing, bicycling, playing board games and spending time with her family.
Throughout her years as an accounting professional Karen has focused on assisting clients with tax, payroll and accounting compliance; planning; and occasionally damage control. She enjoys tax and operational planning, and helping clients obtain tax and efficiency benefits – and avoid tax penalties.
Karen’s enthusiasm for assisting clients with their tax, payroll and accounting systems is enhanced by the knowledge and skills of her JCCS teammates. For example, a recently new client called when it realized that its accounting and payroll system was challenging its small staff to the point that the firm was incurring substantial compliance penalties. Karen and the JCCS team suggested new accounting software more suitable to the client’s mobile management style and also provided payroll preparation assistance and bookkeeping and operational advice. They also worked with the IRS to set the client on the path to resolving outstanding taxes and penalties from prior noncompliance.
